Our team met Saturday from 10am-4pm to prepare sub teams for the upcoming season. In mechanics, they worked on taking apart our robot from the previous season, CAD worked on the stress test where they experimented with different parts, as well as the Programming team who are learning about how to program different things, and in Chairman’s/Business team, we are working on the essay and video for the award, and taking pictures for our website. A huge thanks to the mentors who have been helping us prepare for the future meetings as well as updating our skills.
Today, we gathered as a team and simulated kickoff for rookie members, which was very exciting! We took previous competitions and got into groups where we would then get the handbook for the competition and work as a team to put together a chart to evaluate what our robot would do in the competition, such as auton. We gave it a scale from being important to things we wouldn’t need to worry about. Also, during our break from it we did a team building exercise where we would bond as a team to learn each other's names, and to come together even more we have a nerf war next weekend! Sub team versus sub team!

All rookie members and returning all get together before the robotics season starts and talk about the different subteams. The goal is to go through all the different sub team and get experience and knowledge about what each subteam is about. Students cycle through each team in groups talking about what they do and what they are about. Each subteam is special they all have jobs that they need to do to make this team, 4327 successful. That’s what we are teaching these amazing rookies and returning members
