Hello! Today, January 18th, 2025, Q Branch logs back in to tell YOU about Week 2 of our build season. We’ve made mountains of progress as CAD’s 3D rendition of our robot design is almost refined to a T which means that Mechanics has been able to work with them and get our robot to its foundational form. At the same time, Controls has been using last year’s chassis and the skills they picked up last week to begin creating and practicing autonomous routines. Simultaneously, Business has completed its revisions of the Executive Questions and has moved on to the Impact Essay and Presentation. Thank you for tuning in, and be sure to keep up with our social media as we post frequent updates on Instagram and Facebook. See you in Week 3, and remember, “This is How We Robot.”Hello! Today, January 11th, 2025, Q Branch logs back in to tell YOU about the start of our build season. Like everyone else last week, our team was gathered around the big screen, eager to discover this year’s challenge. After the challenge dropped we played a human rendition of the game to help us fill out our Quality Function Deployment and come up with robot designs. After settling on a design, Mechanics and CAD quickly jumped into prototyping, using recycled materials to decide what to do and then using CAD to flesh it out and iron out the kinks. Meanwhile, Controls has been using last year’s chassis to practice and refine their coding skills and Business has started the process of answering the executive summary questions and documenting everything! Thank you for tuning in, and be sure to keep up with our social media as we post frequent updates on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. See you in Week 2, and remember, “This is How We Robot.” |
